Runway Talente Part 3 - The Icons, New Collection 2018

The Runway has presented us with timeless collections of breathtaking innovation and style. We continue to celebrate some of our Icons who have stood the test of time.

DIOR

The History and Timeline of the Christian DIOR Brand:

1946: The House of Dior is founded on December 16 at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris. The current house of Dior celebrates 1947 as the establishing year.

1947: The House of Dior launched its first spring/summer collection, The New Look, at their headquater salon. The New Look line collection would go on to become revolutionary, influencing other designers and the fashion industry or many years.

1947: The founding of Christian Dior parfumes and the first Dior perfume is launched, Miss Dior. Pierre Cardin was made head of the Dior workshop until 1950.FUN FACT: The Miss Dior parfume, Miss Dior was named after Catherine Dior, Christian Dior’s sister.

1948: The New York City Christian Dior parfume branch is opened. A ready-to-wear house is also opened in New York City at the corner of 5th Avenue and 57th street.

1949: The Diorama fragrance is launched.

The history has been strong over 70 years and carries on from strength to strength.

An der Runway Talente Show wurden zeitlose Kollektionen von atemberaubender Innovation und Stil präsentiert. Wir feiern weiterhin einige unserer Ikonen, die sich seit jeher bewährt haben.

1946: The House of Dior wird am 16. Dezember in der 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris gegründet.
1947: Das Haus Dior lancierte seine erste Frühjahr/Sommer-Kollektion - The New Look - in seinem Hauptsalon. Die New Look-Linienkollektion wird auch in Zukunft wegweisend für andere Designer und die Modebranche werden.
1947: Die Gründung von Christian Dior Parfums und das erste Dior Parfum "Miss Dior" wird eingeführt. Pierre Cardin wurde bis 1950 zum Leiter der Dior-Werkstatt ernannt. FUN FACT: Das Parfum Miss Dior wurde nach Catherine Dior, der Schwester von Christian Dior, benannt.
1948: Die Parfümabteilung von New York City Christian Dior wird eröffnet. In New York City wird auch ein Konfektionshaus an der Ecke 5th Avenue und 57th Street eröffnet.
1949: Der Diorama-Duft wird eingeführt.

Runway Talente presented the new collections from Mondor an the audience were wowed by the beauty of design and quality fabrics as the models lined up at the Show.

The company was started in 1955 by taxi driver Roger Deslauries, Mondor has evolved from ist roots in fashinable nylon stockings for high society women of Quebec, turning it into an outstanding and iconic brand in Figure Skating and dancewear apparel. It was later sold by his sons so Entrepreneurs Denis Beaudoin, figure skater Isabelle Brasseur and a few other Investors.

Both Denis Beaudoin and the general manager Armondo Guadagno have helps the comany consistently evolve with collections of beautiful constructed, high quality, couture stylish Figure Skating dresses and lines of edgy chic dancewear. Some items are still made by hand and individually inspected to ensure the highest standard of couture craftmanship. Mondor brings to the Ice rink and sports arena, what Dior brings to the Runway.

Mondor Das Unternehmen wurde 1955 vom Taxifahrer Roger Deslauries gegründet. Mondor hat sich von seinen Wurzeln in modischen Nylonstrümpfen für High-Society-Frauen in Quebec zu einer herausragenden und legendären Marke für Eislauf- und Dancewear-Bekleidung entwickelt. Es wurde später von seinen Söhnen an die Unternehmer Denis Beaudoin, die Eiskunstläuferin Isabelle Brasseur und einige andere Investoren verkauft.
